  • To Realize (Two Meanings): (1) To understand clearly and (2) To manifest or make real

  • Duality (Two Meanings): (1) Two or Twoness, and (2) Separability

  • The Most Problematic Duality: That of a self separate from circumstances.

  • The Realization of Non-Duality: The understanding and manifestation of a self inseparable from circumstances.

Buddhism:

Zero-Buddhism - the necessary preconditions for a Manifested Buddhism to arise, namely:

  1. A clear picture of the highest good, namely the realization of non-duality.

  2. A clear picture of the path to the realization of non-duality.

  3. Motivation and an understanding of the obstacles expected along this path.

Manifested-Buddhism - the set of spiritual activities where the highest good is the realization of non-duality.

The Question For Next Week: What Must Every Path to a Realization of Non-Duality Entail?
