The Four Characteristics of an Enlightened Teacher

  1. The teacher has achieved the end goal.

  2. The teacher understands the end goal in a wider Buddhist context.

  3. The teacher knows a path (or practice) needed to reach the end goal.

  4. The teacher walks the path.


The Three Characteristics For Evaluating Enlightenment

  1. Demeanor

  2. Engagement

  3. Understanding
